Tolerance-the path to inclusion.
Summary of the Project
The aim of our project is to promote tolerance and understanding between young Roma and non-Roma to
increase their involvement and participation through art as a method to promote a positive image of Roma
communities.
The objectives of the project are:
1. To increase the knowledge on civic involvement and participation of the 48 participants during the
youth exchange
2. To develop the artistic skills (theater, music, dance) of the 48 participants during the youth exchange
3. To increase the confidence in their own forces and the motivation of the 48 participants during the
exchange
4. To increase the level of acceptance and understanding of interculturality and diversity for the 48
participants, during the exchange
5. To develop the capacity of the 48 young people to plan, organize and promote educational and artistic
events during the project
Our project contributes to the following objectives of the Erasmus + program:
- promotes active citizenship, intercultural dialogue, social inclusion and solidarity in particular through
the learning mobility of young Roma and non-Roma
- it contributes to increasing the confidence and self-esteem of young people
- promotes the assumption of common values, equality, non-discrimination and social inclusion in general
- promotes the social inclusion of young Roma in particular.
Through this project we want to promote tolerance among young Roma and non-Roma and reduce
prejudices and stereotypes among the 48 participants. At the same time, we want to increase the level of
confidence of young people in their own forces not to refuse to get involved or participate in something
before they convince themselves that they can't, just because that's how they were told or that's what
others think about them.
